Alvaro Arbeloa, the head coach of Real Madrid, shared his thoughts following his team’s 2-0 defeat to Barcelona in the 35th round of La Liga.

“There’s not much to say because we understand the disappointment. We can only look ahead and learn from our mistakes this year. I understand the anger of Real Madrid fans.
Today marks the end of our season, but we must not give up. We are protecting something greater than ourselves—we are protecting the Real Madrid badge. We need to show that this truly hurts.
I can’t analyze this right now, but we all need to take a step forward and clearly understand what we must do. For me, this is a starting point, and it’s important to learn from the fact that we lost many points we shouldn’t have. You can lose to Barcelona, but not to other teams,” Arbeloa said, as quoted by Marca.
After 35 matches, Barcelona has secured the La Liga title with 91 points, sitting at the top of the table. Real Madrid is in second place with 77 points. Three rounds remain in the championship.
